Recipe: BLT Bruschetta
- 1/2 cup Hormel Crumbled Bacon
- 3 Roma tomatoes, seeded and chopped
- 1cup chopped Romaine lettuce
- 1/3 cup crumbled Feta cheese
- 1 tsp dried basil leaves
- 1/2 tsp fresh minced garlic
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 (8 oz) loaf French bread or baguette, cut into 1/4 inch slices
Preheat oven to 400°F. In medium bowl, stir together the bacon, tomatoes, lettuce, Feta cheese, basil, garlic, salt and pepper; set aside. Brush olive oil lightly on the cut sides of each piece of bread. Place bread on a large baking sheet. Bake at 400&F for 12-15 minutes, turning once or until crisp and golden brown; cool slightly. To serve, spoon topping on each toast round or serve bacon mixture in a bowl surrounded by the toast round. Serves 6-8. |
