Recipe: Apple Cake III

Recipes using Argo Baking Powder

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup Crisco
• 2 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 2 tsps baking soda
• 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
• 1/2 cup milk
• 3 eggs
• 6 to 8 tart apples, sliced

1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Combine all except apples to make batter.
3. Pour in oblong pan.
4. Spread apples over batter.
5. Top with crumbs made by mixing the ingredients below.
6. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake for 1 hour.

Crumb Mixture

• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/4 lb butter
