Recipe: Baked Chicken and Mushroom Packages
- 2 1/2lb chicken, cut up
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 can whole mushrooms
- 1 cup flour
- 4 thin slices onions
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground white pepper
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/3 cup cream
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Pour flour in plastic ziploc bag; place chicken in bag and toss to coat chicken with flour.
- Heat canola oil in skillet; brown chicken on all sides.
- Tear 4 - 14 x 12 inch pieces of heavy duty aluminum foil.
- Place 2 pieces of chicken, several mushrooms and one sliver of onion in center of each foil square.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper; fold up edges of foil.
- Add 2 tsps butter and one tbsp cream to each package.
- Bring edges of foil together and seal with double fold.
- Place in shallow baking pan.
- Bake for 45 mins.
- Serve in foil.
