Recipe: Baked Beef Brisket
- 4 to 5 pound beef brisket
- 1 cup sliced carrot
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 can low sodium beef broth
- 1 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp white pepper
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Place beef brisket in an 8" x 12" in baking pan.
- Sprinkle with poultry seasoning, garlic powder, and whote pepper.
- Top with carrot and bay leaves, then add beef broth.
- Cover, and place in oven. Bake for 3 hours.
- Cool, and slice on diagonal.
- Make a gravy with pan juices and water. Thicken (if needed) with flour or cornstarch.
