Recipe: Banana Oatmeal Cookies

Recipes using McCormick Ground Nutmeg

• 1 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup shortening
• 1 egg (beaten)
• 1 cup mashed bananas (3)1 cup nuts
• 1 ½ cups flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp nutmeg
• 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1 ¾ cups oatmeal

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cream together the sugar and shortening.
3. Blend this with 1 egg (beaten), bananas and nuts.
4. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture.
5. Drop on ungreased cookie sheets.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until lightly brown.
