Recipe: BBQ Beef Brisket
- 5 to 6 lb brisket
- Liquid smoke
- Garlic salt
- Onion salt
- Celery salt
- Worcestershire sauce
Barbecue Sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp dry mustard
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1/2 cup catsup
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Sprinkle brisket the day before cooking with liquid smoke on both sides.
- Sprinkle with garlic, onion, and celery salt.
- Put in baking dish overnight, covered.
- Next day sprinkle with salt, and pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Lightly cover and bake at 275° F for 5 hours.
- Last hour, pour over BBQ sauce and bake uncovered, let stand a while before slicing.
- Slice at angle like corned beef.
