Recipe: Beef Tomato
Beef Tomato I
- 1/2 to 3/4 pound tender beef
- 1 cup tomatoes
- 1 cup celery
- 1 cup green peppers
- 1 cup round onions
Beef seasoning:
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 slice ginger, crushed
- 1 teaspoon sherry
Gravy:
- 1/2 cup water
- 3-1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Accent
- Slice and season beef; let stand 10 to 15 minutes.
- Cube vegetables.
- Heat canola oil and pan fry beef, stirring quickly to medium rareness.
- Remove from pan, add more oil to pan and fry onions, peppers and celery.
- When almost done, add tomatoes.
- Add gravy and bring to boil.
- Mix in beef and serve.
