Recipe: Beef Brisket in Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp dried, minced onions
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/8 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 46oz can tomato juice
- 4 to 5 pound beef brisket
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Add entire can of tomato juice to a dutch oven or large baking pan.
- Place brisket into dutch oven and coat throughly with the tomato juice.
- In a small bowl combine the spices, and mix. Sprinkle evenly over the brisket.
- Top brisket with the minced onions.
- Cover, place in ove, and bakd for 3 to 3 1/2 hours.
- Allow to cool some before slicing.
- Thicken the sauce with flour, and serve with the brisket.
