Recipe: Butterscoth Nut Sticks
Bottom Layer:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Cream butter.
- Add sugar; cream until light and fluffy.
- Add flour and work into dough.
- Press firmly into pan.
- Bake 20 minutes.
- Cool slightly before adding top layer.
Top Layer
- Beat eggs until light and fluffy.
- Add brown sugar gradually and beat until well blended.
- Add vanilla, flour, and baking powder.
- Stir in corn flakes and nuts.
- Spread evenly over bottom layer.
- Bake 25 minutes.
- Cool before cutting, leaving in pan overnight if possible.
