Legend has it in 1727 Francisco del Mello Palheta was sent out on a secret mission to bring coffee to his homeland of Brazil. Acting as a secret agent, Palheta traveled to French Guinea, asked the Governor for coffee seedlings, and was refused. But the Governor's wife, taken by the handsome Brazilian, gave Palheta a bouquet of flowers with coffee seeds hidden within. Palheta accepted the gift, returned home and shortly thereafter, coffee began growing in Brazil!
How to Brew Fine Arabica Coffee
- Start with fresh, pure water
- Use 2 tbsps (10g) ground coffee per 6 fl oz (180ml) water
- Add more water or coffee to adjust for personal taste
- Do not leave over heat for more than 15 minutes
