Recipe: Carrot Casserole
- 3 cups sliced raw carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup mild Cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 tbsps butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup red pepper, chopped
- 2 tbsps flour
- 1 cup milk
- Sunkist Almond Accents
Preheat oven to 350 ° F. Add carrots, onions and peppers to saucepan. Cook carrots, onions,and peppers until tender. Remove vegetables from frying pan and add to casserole dish. Add butter to fring pan. Melt butter, stir in flour, slowly add milk and salt. Cook until thickened. Pour sauce over vegetables in casserole dish. Cover with Sunkist Almond Accents. Bake at 350 ° F for 30 minutes.
