This package of 3 11 watt Compact Fluorescent Lights is Energy StarTM qualified and will save $87.00 in electricity (at 10 cents per KWH electricity cost) over their lifetime. Their energy requirement of 11 watts is about 1/4 of the need of standard 40 watt globe lamps. With these lamps the CFL spiral tubes are encased in an outer globe to produce the look of the standard G25 Globe bulb.
Change Bulbs Less Often
Besides using 1/4 of the electricity as G25 Globe Bulbs, these CFLs last an average of 10,000 hours of use; that's about 6 years of light for average residential customers using the light 4 hours per day, seven days a week. For commercial customers, this means less labor costs associated with relamping burned out lights. For commercial uses, the 10,000 hour rating @ 10 hours a day equates to about 3 years (10,000 hour life / 10 hours a day = 1,000 days). Change frequently used lights
