Recipe: Chicken Divan IV
- 20 oz frozen broccoli
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 chicken bouillon cube
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 3 tbsps cooking sherry
- dash pepper
- 3 cups cooked chicken
- 1/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook, drain and place broccoli in a 9X12 inch pan.
- Melt butter; stir in flour and cook for 1 minute on medium heat.
- Gradually add chicken broth and bouillon cube.
- Cook and stir until thick.
- Add milk, sherry and pepper; mix well.
- Pour 1/2 of the sauce over the broccoli.
- Place the chicken on top.
- Cover with the remaining sauce and grated cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
