Recipe: Chicken with Sage Biscuits
- 1 whole chicken, cut up
- 3/4 cup canola oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 tsp Accent
- Kitchen Bouquet enough to brush on chicken pieces
- 1 1/2 cups Prepared Biscuit Mix
- 3/4 tsp sage
- 1/4 tsp parsley
- 1/2 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- Prepare each piece of chicken with salt, pepper, Accent.
- Lightly brush Kitchen Bouquet.
- Pour oil into large skillet and heat; once heated add chicken pieces.
- Fry chicken until completely cooked.
- Add sage, parsley and milk to prepared biscuit mix to form stiff dough.
- Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness; cut into desired shape.
- Place fried chicken in casserole pour sauce over the top of chicken.
- Place cut out dough on top and bake until dough is brown.
