Recipe: Chili Con Quezo (Cheese with chilies)
Chili Con Quezo Ingredients
- 1 large onion, chopped fine
- 1/4 cup bacon drippings
- 4 oz can green chili pepper, chopped
- 13-oz can evaporated milk
- 1 lb Velveeta cheese
- 2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
To make Chili Con Quezo
Saute chopped onion in hot bacon drippings. Add chopped chili pepper and cook for 2 minutes. Put remaining ingredients in top of a double boiler. Add the onion and chili peppers. Stir often until cheese is melted and mixture has thickened. Serve in a chafing dish with tostados or tortilla chips. Makes one quart. |
