Recipe: Chocolate Buttermilk Cake

Recipes using Tones Pure Almond Extract

• 2 cup sugar
• 2 cup flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2 sticks butter
• 4 tbsp Hershey's cocoa powder
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Sift together sugar, flour and soda.
3. In a small saucepan, bring butter, cocoa, and water to a boil. Pour over dry ingredients.
4. Add buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
5. Pour into 17" x 11" x ¾" cookie sheet.
6. Bake 15 to 20 minutes.

• 1 stick butter
• 4 tbsp Hershey's cocoa powder
• 6 tbsp buttermilk
• Box powdered sugar
• 1 cup chopped nuts
• 1 tsp vanilla extract

1. Bring butter, cocoa powder, and buttermilk to a boil.
2. Stir in powdered sugar, walnuts, and vanilla extract.
3. When well blended and heated through, pour over the warm cake.
