Recipe: Clam Cakes



 

Recipes using Seawatch Clams

 

Clam Cakes Recipe

  • 51 ounce can Sea Watch Chopped Clams, drained
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp onions, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, softened
  • 1/2 cup celery, finely minced
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Flour or breadcrumbs

  1. Melt butter in a non-stick skillet.
  2. Stir in onions and simmer 3 minutes.
  3. Combine with eggs, cream, soft breadcrumbs, clams, celery, dry mustard, chopped parsley, salt, and paprika.
  4. Chill mixture for 2 hours.
  5. Shape into cakes.
  6. Lightly dust with flour or breadcrumbs.
  7. Melt 1 tbsp butter in skillet.
  8. Quickly brown the cakes on both sides.
  9. Lower the heat and cook the clam cakes slowly for about 6 more minutes.

Makes about 12 3 ounce clam cakes.
