Dinner Rolls III Ingredients

• 1 cup milk
• 5 tbsp sugar
• 1 tbsp salt
• 6 tbsp butter, softened
• 2 1/2 tsp dry yeast
• 1 cup lukewarm water
• 6 cups flour

To Make Dinner Rolls III

1. Scald milk, add sugar and salt. Cool to lukewarm.
2. Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water for 10 minutes and add to milk.
3. Add 3 cups flour and beat until smooth. Add melted shortening and remaining flour or enough to make easily handled dough.
4. Knead well. Place in greased bowl. Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk.
5. Shape into rolls. Let rise until light, about an hour. Bake in oven 425° F. for 20 minutes.
