Recipe: Eastern Shore Crab Cakes



 

Recipes using McCormick White Pepper

 

Eastern Shore Crab Cakes

  • 1 pound crab meat
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 hard boiled egg
  • Bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Parsley to taste

To make Eastern Shore Crab Cakes
  1. Mix the white pepper, egg, melted butter, lemon juice, diced hard boiled egg, and Worcestershire sauce in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the crab meat to the bowl, and mix in 1/4 to 1/2 cup of bread crumbs a little at a time until the crab meat mix can be formed into crab cakes.
  3. Form into 4 - 6 crab cakes, and broil or pan fry until golden brown, then turn over and brown the other side.
