English Muffin Loaf Ingredients

• 4 1/2 tsp dry yeast
• 6 cups flour
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 2 tsp sea salt
• 2 cups milk
• 1/4 tsp baking soda
• 1/2 cup water
• Cornmeal

To make English Muffin Loaf

1. Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, sea salt and baking soda.
2. Heat liquids until very warm. Add to dry mixture, beat well. Stir in remaining flour to make a stiff batter.
3. Spoon English Muffin Loaf dough into two 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal.
4. Sprinkle tops of English Muffin Loaves with cornmeal.
5. Cover with a damp cloth, andlet rise in warm place for 45 minutes.
6. Bake at 400° F. for 25 minutes.
7. Remove English Muffin Loaves from pans immediately and cool.

To serve: Slice English Muffin Loaf and toast. Makes 16 slices of English Muffin Loaf per batch.
