Mama I get home and start mixing the biscuit batter up, set the oven to preheat, and finish preparing the biscuit dough...it's ready and I check the oven..nothing, zip, nada, zilch, nothing NO HEAT what so ever, so I have to act quick and I decide to heat up the iron skillet and cook the dough up "hoe-cake" style. Well I have not cooked a hoe-cake in forever and never with this Cheddar Bay dough, well let me tell you it was fabulous

My 8 yr. old cleaned her entire plate and wanted yet another piece of the hoe-cake! Ho-ho-ho I won this battle OVEN!!! And the repair man w/b here tomorrow!
And that could go under the helpful hints thread!!! Oven broke no thing...use the ole' cast iron skillet!
