Interesting, mama. Thanks for sharing...

I'm not necessarily down on the Atkins diet- not YET, anyway. It's always worked GREAT for me to lose. And sure- I've gained weight back, but I've gained weight back on every diet I've ever been on.

What I like about Atkins is that, sure- you suffer from being VERY limited on what types of food you can eat, BUT you can eat those foods non-stop and STILL LOSE. And since I have a large appetite- that appeals to me. (Of course I know the BEST way to lose and KEEP IT OFF is to come to the realization that the appetite MUST be curbed and reduced...)

But like you say- I feel it DOES play tricks w/ one's metabolism. I once LOVED all carbs- bread, pasta, rice, grains, 'taters and sweets. And today I have almost ZERO craving ever for ANY carbs. And when I do eat them- I can only eat a few bites before I feel totally over-full and uncomfortably bloated. Very weird and interesting.
