As Seen on TV Culinary Crap Gadget Peddlers.

Has anyone seen any of these products advertised on TV? I think that they are often very annoying and are a waste of time!

1. First, we got the Queen of As-Seen-On-TV Culinary Crap Products, Kathy Mitchell who used to push Grip N' Flip and is noe pushing this latest crap gadget that is used to supposedly cook pasta in the microwave and also lets you make pasta salad in it as well after the water is drained from the pasta.

2. Next, we got Chef Tony who was pushing a set of knives and is now pushing a set of lids that when pushed down onto a container or bowl, supposedly forms a vacuum seal, supposedly keeping food from spoiling.

3. Then we got loud-mouthed yelling and screaming Billy Macy who seems to be pushing everything under the sun, from Oxi-Clean to a culinary crap
gadget that supposedly lets you form burgers in it and supposedly cook the burgers on the stove, to health insurance and Orange Glo.

4. Then we got those aggravating and annoying infommercials or paid programs which are also very annoying that are wasting up and monopolizing
as well as hijacking, spamming and trolling up hours and hours of precious TV airtime!!

Who comes up with this stuff? Who is the brain child behind all of this? The Food Network History, Discovery, National Geographic, TLC and local channels seem to be the biggest offenders of this crap!!:mad:

:eek:Oh..lordy...don't get me started on Bill Macy ! that man gets on my last nerve sometimes. And It's only $19.99 ! That Oxy junk doesnt work.At least it didn't for me.
A new one out that really is a Ringer.....Dr Franks pain releif Spray. For man or beast !:rolleyes:
 
No kidding, my fiance and I just watch these Ad's and grin and give each other that "knowing" look, and he starts surfing thru channels while the ads are on!!!

And why is it the Ads all have this instant VOLUME increase:confused: It's like they are trying to deafen us!!!

I somehow KNEW that his name would get SOMEONE'S attention here and stir up anger at him. Haha!!

Ever notice that when you're watching a program, you DO have to adjust the volume higher? Let this Macy character come on in one of thos aggravating commercials, and he seems to go right under your skin!!

Why does he have to yell like that?! The ad, in and of itself, is bad enough. His yelling at the top of his lungs doesn't make things any better.

Can you see him when he enters a room and says; CAN I HAVE A CUP OF COFFEE, PLEASE?!!!!!!!!!

He's on the planet Pluto and has to yell at the top of his lungs so that his message can be translated through the Solar System over to us humanoids here on Earth.
 
I always leave the TV in the bedroom on during sleep. Woke up the other night when one of Billy Macy's annoying commercials came on and was so ****ed at him because he yells and can't talk low like normal people!!
 
:DI think it's funny you guys all know this character's name:D I so tune the "knuckle head" out that I have never in all these years even caught his name:eek: He's got one good quality though....his total and absolute exuberance...I mean WOW no wonder folks buy the crap he's pushing!

I want a tv that will mute all commercials - they turn up the volume so that you can still leave the room and hear them - why do you think I am leaving the room to begin with? DUH!

:D No kidding!!! I swear Mama if you were to invent a TV that would mute the stinking commercials you would get RICH real fast, or at least some kind of a box that would filter out the Ads, but after a few million people had them you'd never be able to sell as many as initially.....cause no one could hear the commercials for them anymore:D But by then you'd be rich and word of mouth would be your best advertising, and you would still be making a killing, and you could buy that ranch!!! And I could come live and work off the fat o' tha land at your place!!!
 
That loudmouth is on the bedroom TV now!! Just killed it by changing the channel.

My VCR in the living room does that. Well, sort of. Whenever a program is recorded that has commercials, during playback, the machine fastforwards through any commercial breaks in the show recorded that picked up any of them. And of course, when you FF, the sound is automatically muted or silenced.

Yeah, I'm old school.

I thought to myself; Why waste time with buying and using a culinary crap gadget that supposedly lets you cook pasta in the microwave, since it needs boiling water to cook the pasta anyway? What precious amount of time is being saved by doing this?

I spent $80.00 on an Emerilware 8-qt Stainless Steel Stock Pot with a Pasta Insert which I enjoy using very much! It replaces that ill-fated red Pasta Pot which the coating had started to peel and flake. Remember that one? It was also one of the culinary crap gadgets seen on TV.

Now, whenever I see or hear that loud-mouth Billy Mays in a commercial. I change the channel.

I CAN'T STAND him any more! God, he's so friggen annoying and aggravating with all that
blasted yelling!!!!!!!!! Gets right under my skin!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't your TV's remote have it's own MUTE button?

Mine does, and so does the cable remote.
