I am looking for some information on meat thermometers. Insta read vs probe type with ability to read outside oven. Maybe both types have their place. What are some favorite brands that you like to use? I want to buy a nice thermometer for a Christmas gift. I was thinking of a probe type with digital readout that can be placed outside of oven. I don't think i need to spend lots of money but would like to know what types, brands are the best. I appreciate any help on this manner
