Does anyone have a rotissere oven? If you do do you lke using it? I saw a commercial on tv for one. It made me a little curious.

I don't have one - but I have seen them on TV as well. A friend of mine has one and unless you plan on using it all the time - she thinks it was a waste of money. She is sorry she didn't buy one like I've got . Mine is a Farberware electric grill with the detachable rotissiere attachment. I love it because I can spin a chicken and also grill at the same time if I want. Plus I can use the grill without using the rotissiere with it. So I do get a lot of use out of it.

It's a matter or preference - and if mine ever stopped working - I would look for another one like it.

:)

My father in law has the one from Ronco. Yeah, I know it sounds cheesy. What was the line? 'Set it and forget it'. Anyway, we've had several meals made on it, and a Thanksgiving turkey too. All were delicious. Easy to clean too.

I have a small rotisserie grill made by Sunbeam that works rather well. It can accommodate a small whole chicken. It also comes with a set of shish kabob sticks for doing shish kabobs. The chicken is cooked by placing it on a rod in a basket standing up, which I understand to be the preferred way to cook a chicken because the grease drips to the bottom tray. You just put the chicken in and set the appropriate cooking time and leave it alone while it cooks. The Sunbeam also came with it's own cookbook.

I have the Ronco, and I couldn't live without it. I use it for nearly everything. Mine came with 2 different sized baskets for doing pieces of meat, or like chicken wings... hot dogs, brats, steak, ect.
you can also use an oven safe dish on the top of machine, to steam veggies, or heat up a precooked side dish.
YUM

really? Now that is what I'm talking about. It can do two tasks at once. That is less time for me in the kitchen.

I own the George Jr. Rotisserie.

It makes beautifully golden brown chicken! That's mainly what I like to cook in it. The skin is cripy browm, golden and dry. The meat is moist temder and juicy inside. You can't go wrong with this one!
