I usually peel the garlic and then smash it with the flat side of a knife, but it is so time consuming. I think I get one and see how it works for me. I have bought garlic in the jar before and that stuff is great to use.

My mom has a garlic press, and I've used it before. It is easier than mincing the garlic yourself. I don't think she ever had a problem with the holes clogging up except when someone didn't do the dishes like they were supposed to... Even then, all she had to do was let it soak for a little while, then use a small brush to get it clean.

I use a Pampered Chef Garlic Press. I love it! Did you know they are also great for decorating cookies? You put the frosting in it and push and it comes out like playdough hair!!!

I just mince it. The garlic in a jar always seems weaker to me.. I never use it.
