butcher meat paper

Where can I find the paper butchers use to grab the meat we buy?

It's square and can soak up blood when defrosting meat.

Thanks.

I thought this was going to be an easy question to answer by saying look at The Sausage Maker to see if they would have them. Yet,I looked there and they don't seem to sell it online. Maybe their customer service would know where to get them.

I did find that they are made but the bubble wrap people, Sealed Air Corp and are called Multi-Loc™ Absorbent Pads. Sealed Air ought to be able to answer you question. You might also see if there is a local Sysco store near you as they might have this stuff.

I thought KittySabu was looking for that absorbant square that sits under the meat on the Styrofoam tray. No?

Ahh ok, you mean the diaper... Well I don't know the professional term, but butcher paper is completely different.

the "diaper" LMAO!!!! But I needed to read that after seeing the thread about won ton wrappers being used for ravioli!!! That one almost gave me a heart attack!!

THAT'S IT!! THANK YOU!!

NOW..... what about the paper they use to grab the meat from under the counter, its square kind of like wax paper but not wax paper and it looks like it comes in a tissue box.

Kitty Sabu - that is a paper used by bakeries, delis, etc. and you can find that at any paper supply house, restaurant supply house, etc. They may even have the "diapers" there! (forgive me - I love that term!!!) Where you find bulk napkins, paper plates, foam cups and containers, etc. - they have it all!
