My very FAV #1 go-to dessert cookbook of all time is Lee Bailey's "Country Desserts".

I've kept a copy in every commercial kitchen I've ever worked in and I've given it to several dear friends over the years. It's loaded w/ traditional and not-so-traditional recipes for wonderful sweets-from rustic and primitive, to fancy and gussied-up.

Plus what helps make it near and dear to me are the stunning photographs. Anyone looking for the perfect American dessert cookbook cannot go wrong w/ this book- AND there happen to be a dozen or more used copies available right now at Amazon for under a measley BUCK!

There ya go- don't say I didn't get'cha a Christmas present! Hee-Hee!

Now... here's a foo-foo platter of holiday sweets to pass around. I'm taking a cube of peanut-butter fudge... OH- and a pecan sandie! And maybe just a smidgen of that cinnamony mincemeat bar... Here ya go- take one or two and pass it 'round! Enjoy all! smiles & winks- Kevin :)

Merry Christmas folks - hope you get all you ask for.
I'm just happy to see my kids - one won't be here but
then they came for Thanksgiving and he'll be back in
February for some snowboard competition. I'm saving
the dry aged rib roast for his visit.

I'll look into the cookbook but Lord knows we eat too
many desserts. I'm hooked on Julia Child's brownie
ice cream sundae.

Congratulations!
What a darling little angel! You're very blessed!
It's nice to see you here and I hope you come around much more often!

Wow- what a cutey-pie! Congrats to you and mommy, Jeff! :)

All is well here in central Illinois. Winter's in full force. Holidays are nigh- and the kitchen is full of all sorts of goodies!

Congrats to you Jeff! By the way, I'm planning to buy a cookbook for desserts. Luckily, found this thread. Thanks to you Kevin, this may help me. :)
