Fall is here! The summer and well actually this year has gone by fast.
I love Fall. It is my favorite time of the year. You can feel and even smell the change in the air. Time for those of us who can enjoy our second childhood through the children of family and friends to gear up for Halloween.
If your the holiday family cook then it is time to start giving thought to the holiday dinners fast approaching.

Enjoy the cooler temps and fall colors my friends. Get ready for the holidays and stay healthy and happy!

So far we have had no reported cases of swine flu in this county although there is a horrible flu making the rounds and a stomach bug.

Ah yes FALL a wonderful cool cripness permeates the air and you start having longings for Pumpkin Pie and Maple Syrup on those Hot Cakes in the morning with a good mug of Hot Chocolate!!!

They can keep their damned old Swine Flu B.S. I am sick enuf just hearing about it, and they are totally wrong for trying to scare everyone to death with this stuff. My goodness it's a form of flu and we will survive, if not well that's life! What in the world is the media trying to pull on us now by instilling more fear, and even the kids at school are being spoonfed this OVER-BLOWN hype! Darn, I may have even had it when I was little and did not even know it, I had a few very bad caes of flu as a kid and so what, we all get stuff. Why in the world are they trying to blow this into some kind of a MONSTER:confused: I don't mean to sound-off, AND I am SO glad the Media is being proved wrong ONCE AGAIN!!!! LOL

That flu Jon's brother and his family was bad enough to be it. They were all on like three different meds and were sick for two weeks. They were very ill but they did get over it and are fine now.
Like you I am also sick of hearing about it. The news broadcasters should be ashamed of the fear mongering they have perpetuated.

I'm a huge fan of fall, too janie & cath! My FAV season, in fact! Can hardly wait to smell a big 'ol bird roasting, sage, onions, pumpkin pie spic, cranberries, mincemeat and such. YUM!

Speaking of Halloween... I received a note from a buddy who lives back east. He attended a Labor Day event at a gay resort at Provincetown, Mass. Of all things, they had a DRAG VOLLEYBALL GAME! And guess what the teams were dressed like? He says one team was all Farrah Fawcetts and another team was all female guests at Michael Jackson’s funeral! (Elizabeth Taylor, Diana Ross, Latoya Jackson, Debbie Rowe, etc.) How hilarious, huh? I got a kick outta that! chuckles & winks- k.
