I like summer holidays, so it's a toss up between the Forth of July and Labor Day. I can't choose between them, as sometimes one of those two holidays are simply too hot to enjoy! So my choice would be the coolest of those two each year.

Now for my favorite month: Septober (Sept 15 to Oct 15). The weather is so beautiful then. Warm nights, cool days, and the color of the trees begins to change.

I'm with you cinnamon. The beginning of fall is the nicest time of the year. Especially for vacationing, because everyone is back at school or work. It you can do it, travel to southern California in October, the crowds are gone and it's still 80 degrees out.

But that's not really a holiday. So my favorite holiday would have to be Columbus Day! You have to be a government employee to get it off, so I just take vacation.

Or you have to work on a military base. My husband gets Columbus Day off, but he works on the Army base as a mechanic sub-contractor. Any day the soldiers get off, his whole company gets off. So he pretty much gets a 3-day weekend every month, sometimes twice a month if he's really lucky. Christmas is his favorite holiday; it used to be Halloween but since we've had kids, he's more into the Christmas thing now. He's getting a great Christmas gift this year, the new baby's due that week.

So this year, my favorite holiday is going to be Halloween. Usually Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorites, but I'll be too big to really enjoy a true Thanksgiving dinner this year & I'll more than likely be in the hospital on Christmas.

This will make my 3rd and hubby's 4th. Hubby has 2 sons & I have a daughter from previous relationships. Then we have a 16-month old together, and this one on the way.

The sonogram wasn't too clear on if I'm having a boy or girl. The baby wasn't cooperating, just like my girls'. The woman said she was about 75% sure I was having another girl. Hubby & sister-in-law both say it's a boy, hubby just because he wants one & S-I-L because she looked at my pictures & thought she saw little boy parts, not little girl parts.
