Five pounds..

Is what Jon has gained since he stopped physical therapy last month.
Some how it is all my fault
He asked for the brownies, cupcakes, lemon cake and chocolate custard pie.
I knew that custard pie would put on weight..6 eggs yolks and tons of sugar.
He buys me an Easter basket of candy but I dont blame him for the size of my jeans lol.

Wow, that's tough! Is he getting any physical activity at all. or will be doing PT again.

I know he is limited, maybe you guys could walk together, even 30 minutes a day is good for heart health, muscle tone, and burns some calories.

and maybe treat desserts as treats. I love them, but really have to watch it.

Also, I used to allow myself 15 pounds to go up and down in, but as soon as I turned 35, it was just too hard to get that much off, so now try to limit it to eight.

Good luck and take care.

I agree with Nan you should get him walking. It's fabulous exercise and it's not too high impact.

He had that bad cold which got him off of doing his PT at home like he was. He was coughing really bad. Now that he has kicked that his seasonal spring allergies have kicked in. We took our car to the garage Mon and as soon as he stepped outside he started coughing and wheezing. He had asthma really bad when he was a kid and since he had that cold he has been trying to flip back into. Im gonna ask him today if he wants to go for a walk. No more baked goodies..atleast not like he has been having. He has his Dad's sweet tooth.

I have a huge sweet tooth too. It runs in my family. It really helps if you take a sliver and eat it with the tiniest little olive fork. This way it lasts a long time and I feel more satisfied afterward. Make him eat his pie with chop sticks. :D

Blindman eating pie with chopsticks..I may have to take pics of that one lol.
He just finished the last of the pie. I told him no more of that for a while.

Why not make more fruit-type desserts - and possibly use Splenda instead of sugar. Try some frozen yogurt-type desserts as well.
Short walks - even walking slow will help.

He wont eat any kind of fruit.
Im going to try that splenda trick as soon as I get to the store.
