For all the countless hours I spent idling away and browsing those sites, they should be banned!

Beware, once they've sucked you in, you're hooked!

Let's talk about them and all the other evils of the WWW.

While I disagree with dub on much of the policies, I think we need to commit and stick with what's been started. I truly hope that there can been a peaceful solution and that everyone cooperates towards that end. Probably shouldn't have broken anything, but now that it has we need to stick around with super glue and friends to fix things. I don't think dub is evil but has his perspective of what's important and too much power by having control of the house and senate. Certainly he knows more about what's happening then I hear on TV.

While I sound like a dub supporter, I'm really not. But there needs to be a peaceful end to the problems we have now.

Oldbay: I think tinker was talking about www and not W ...

Oopsie for me too. I realized just now that "dubya" might confuse some people. I'm just gonna edit my post. :)

For Oldbay:

I do appreciate your comments on the W. issue. I agree that Mr. President isn't as dumb as the media makes him out to be--but I still disagree with most of his policies. I could go on, but perhaps a political discussion is more appropriate on a more aptly-titled thread. :)

LOL at the W confusion.

I try not to while away TOO much of my time keeping up with celebrity news, but some of it is just too much of a trainwreck; I can't look away!

I'm so bummed that I missed the Britney interview on Dateline. Then again, I might have lost some brain cells just by watching it. ;)

Am pretty sure you can search www.youtube.com for the Britney interview. Or at least for highlights. :)

gossip blogs are my new timesucker on the internet. I "just look" at one and before I know it, I've lost a couple hours!

I know what you mean Twinmama. I mean, I realize that I reading those rags couldn't possibly do me any good. But when I open up one page, I always end up opening a host of other gossip sites! Bad bad bad. :p

I guess it's just human nature that we tend to be interested in other people's tragedies--especially those of the rich and famous.

It's also interesting to note that ours is a society where the mob's opinion rules--pedestals can be toppled overnight, it just takes one malicious story.

I was just reading about the letter Lindsay Lohan received from the studio of the movie she's shooting, and her mother's response.

 is all I can say. She's old enough to party like a rock star but not old enough to be expected to show up to work (for which she's getting paid millions)? Come on now.
