Had The Bunny for a Week Now.

Well I have had my new bunny for a week as of Friday. He has made himself at home. He just turned 6 weeks old on this past Thur. He still weighs in at 3/4 pound. Been trying to get some good pics but he never holds still.

he is adorable - and naming him Spkie and posting that pic with a gun is just perfect for spammers

any babies yet?
don't laugh -
true story -
family friends -
daughter wants a bunny
father is brain dead in many departments - don't know squat about bunnies -
discussion with wife -
decision is made -
ONE bunny -
male -
they dont' want bunnies all over the place multiplying -
okay -
dad tells a friend -
friend tells a bunny man -
bunny man knows how stupid husband is -
sells him a "male" -
a fat male -
dad brings home bunny -
fat bunny -
name bunny Cujo -
(don't ask) -
one week later -
Cujo multiplies -
baby bunnies all over the place -
DUH!
couldn't dad tell the sex???????????
or should I say GENDER?
sex caused multiplication -
kudos for Cujo....................
Kodak moment -
dad was in the dog house

and to this day - he thinks if you even LOOK at a bunny it multiplies!

Petstores are also a great place to get a fat boy bunny who becomes a mother real soon. I have been in the petstore before and seen people who work there sexing bunnies for parents there with their kids. On two different occasions I checked after them and they had told them they were boys when they were girls and very much old enough to be pregnant. They always keep male and female bunnies together .. same thing with guinea pigs. Bunnies can get pregnant at like three months.

I don't have to worry about Spike. He is a boy and only 5 weeks old when I got him. I am curious to see when he hits puberty if his sweet personality stays or if he has to get snipped. Baron never had any problems so I didnt have to get him neutered. One spray outta this little guy and hes off to the vet to loose a couple of things.

I had actually contacted a few people about adopting a bunny who needed a home but both times they had been kept in with males and were around 3-4 months old. I passed and decided to go ahead and get a baby I liked and know is not expecting.

So that's what Spikes front end looks like! Actually he's a great looking bunny Janie. You just have to break that mooning habit he has with me.

maybe you're just moon-a-ble -

(forgive me - I just had to say that!)

(oh oh - as jp goes to ban mama......................)

Wow. I thought Mama finally got wise and banned me. Couldn't post a thing. I really think that bunny did it though.

I told Jon as much as I cook do you think the little bunny may have looked at the dog and said .... now what exactly happened to the last rabbit who lived here?

Kev the woman I got him from keeps tempting me with more baby bunnies. She is really testing my resistance! We are talking about getting the girls one bunny to share from her for Easter and she keeps mentioning this baby or that baby. Give me strength.

I'll share my Bunny pics too Janie
