I have been working on my nieces Halloween buckets I give them evey year when they trick or treat. I still have to get a little more for one of them and I need suckers to stick down into both still but they are coming along. One loves gumballs and the other is nuts for chocolate peppermint pattys.

They get a lot of help from Mom and Dad eating all of the candy lol.

Im still looking for some cool suckers to put in them and the one needs a bit more chocolate in it.

KFC - domeone mentioned KFC - who's giving that out for Halloween - I'll be there for some!

TRICK OR TREAT, DARK OR LIGHT MEAT!!!!

People around here do not give the kids much candy when they trick or treat. I like to fix that for them.

We always have pizza at Papaw Frank's when were done. I have a caramel apple muffin recipe I am gonna make for my little sis - their Mama to take home as a treat.

Halloween is my fav holiday to. It is the start of the holiday season and the one holiday I get to spend with my sis's little girls. I have been sending Kev some of my all time fav Halloween movies. Monster Squad, Hocus Pocus, My Boyfriend's Back, My Best Friend is a Vampire, Bram Stokers Dracula and a few others. I am 41 but every year I pull out my copy of Its The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and watch it lol.

My nieces who are 6 and 3 just watched Hocus Pocus and Halloween Town (Disney) for the first time the other day. They loved them. The 6 year old is gonna be a zombie girl and the little one is a pirate. Ill post pics of them in their costumes afterwards.

Here are their costumes. I copied the images from Amazon.
This is Evelyn's costume. I got her super cool spider earrings to wear with it and temp skull tattoos. I even found black shoes with skulls on them to finish out the costume.

Here is the baby's costume.

Those are cute!

I love Halloween - I do a lot of baking for that day. I'm not a scrooge either. For the kids that live around me - I spoil them - always did. I've got all the Halloween movies lined up - all the old B & W ones from the 1930's rightup to present. Those are our "October" movies!

Do you get American Movie Classics Channel Mama? They show some of those old black and white horror movies during Oct. I have caught lots of the old dracula movies on there. I love the old Frankenstein. When I was a kid on Saturday night we used to sit up late and watch Chiller Theater. Vincent Price was the host and he used to dress up like Dracula. Later years Elvyria hosted it. They showed all of the old BW horror movies.

Yes I do - and I also have a DVD player - so I have accumulated many of them. Some of them I taped years ago (VHS). I watched Chiller - and I don't know if you ever got any of the Canadian channels - but they had a wacky show on Saturday afternoons with all the old spooky movies as well. And on Friday nights it was Fright Night! But Fright Night was during the days before cable! LOL

Mama do you know which tree branches are food safe? I saw caramel apples with twigs instead of popsicle sticks and they looked really cool. Id love to make some like those for the kids for Halloween. I used to feed the bunnies apple twigs but I havent found much online to tell me which ones are people safe. Jon's Dad has tons of apple trees.

I would go with apple or grape vine twigs - and I would wash thoroughly! Knowing me - I would probably figure out a way to "hide" the part that is in the apple with foil or cut-off popsicle sticks or something. No GREEN ones - not good!

Now These Are Proper Buckets!

The oldest niece who is 6 has the bucket with the gumballs she requested. Catie is 3 and her bucket has no gumballs in it. Her mother threatened to kill me if I gave her gumballs lol.

Good ... everytime I look a the pics of your bbq food you starve me to death for those flavors!

I made 18 halloween chocolates today molded into bats, ghosts, cats etc. Im torn between making them some cool cupcakes or one of those graveyard cakes and decorating it with the chocolates I made. The cupcakes would be less likely to start a war between the two sisters over who gets what piece of cake.
