BOO!

I am looking forward to taking my little vampire and ladybug trick or treating this Thur.
Aunt Naney has a big bucket of candy for each one. I just like to see them get the whole trick or treat experience.

BOO back at ya ! I hope all have safe enjoyable time. I went to a costume party this past weekend and had a blast!

here is a cake that kids may get a kick from.......Kitty Litter Cake

1 (18.25 ounce) package German chocolate cake mix
1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (12 ounce) package vanilla sandwich cookies
3 drops green food coloring
1 (12 ounce) package tootsie rolls

DIRECTIONS
Prepare cake mixes and bake according to package directions (any size pan).
Prepare pudding according to package directions and chill until ready to assemble.
Crumble sandwich cookies in small batches in a food processor, scraping often. Set aside all but 1/4 cup. To the 1/4 cup add a few drops of green food coloring and mix.
When cakes are cooled to room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl. Toss with 1/2 of the remaining cookie crumbs, and the chilled pudding. You probably won't need all of the pudding, you want the cake to be just moist, not soggy.
Line kitty litter box with the kitty litter liner. Put cake mixture into box.
Put half of the unwrapped tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until softened. Shape the ends so that they are no longer blunt, and curve the tootsie rolls slightly. Bury tootsie rolls randomly in the cake and sprinkle with half of the remaining cookie crumbs. Sprinkle a small amount of the green colored cookie crumbs lightly over the top.
Heat 3 or 4 of the tootsie rolls in the microwave until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the cake and sprinkle lightly with some of the green cookie crumbs. Heat the remaining tootsie rolls until pliable and shape as before. Spread all but one randomly over top of cake mixture. Sprinkle with any remaining cookie crumbs. Hang the remaining tootsie roll over side of litter box and sprinkle with a few green cookie crumbs. Serve with the pooper scooper for a gross Halloween dessert.

Happy Halloween to you too! I'm a little sad this Halloween. Usually I throw a big party but I'm still rehabilitating from my knee surgery and I'm tired all the time. :( I will be handing out candy though.

Oh I hope you get better soon Jfain! I feel for you, but don't be too sad, just remember we love ya!!!

Happy Halloween to one and all!!!

My sister made cupcakes something like that for the 4 year olds BD party. She wouldnt eat them lol. I always thought I had a weak stomach but hers may be worse than mine lol. Im going to make her honey ham sandwiches on fresh baked bread for her after trick or treat picnic. Im baking chocolate chip cookies and cupcakes with orange icing and dark brown sprinkles. Im going to get them their fav chips and some caffeine/sugar free soda pop. We always trick or treat my FIL last and while we are there the kids have an indoor picnic in the dining room. It works out reall well that way cause Jon stays with his Dad while we are out and I can pick him up when we are finished. Im going to pick up a spare set of batteries for my camera tomorrow.
jfain I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks everyone I appreciate it. I'm getting better every day. Yesterday at physical therapy I finally got all the way around on the exercise bike! Yippe! Once I can really start exercising again at my usual level I know I'll be on the mend fast. :D

Great News! Keep it up, and before you know it this will be a distant memory.

My little one & I stayed up watching Food Network the night before last and they had Halloween Cake Decorating contets, it was so fun to watch! Then on Sun. night they had a Pumpkin Carving Contest both were great shows. My little one is 8 almost 9 and we have many great times watching FN. I like the changes they have made to FN and some of the new stars shows, like Sunny etc.

Actually I got one of the best tips from Sunny. Did you see the show where she made chocolate pudding and then to top it she made pretzels tossed with butter and sugar then roasted until it formed kind of a pretzel brittle? I LOVE this. I made it all the time to top desserts. I use gluten free pretzels with seasame seeds on them and it is so amazing.

Well guys I just took the bread for my nieces picnic sandwiches out of the oven. I made their cupcakes and chocolate chip cookies. I bought honey roasted ham from my favorite deli and got their fav chips. Tomorrow Ill make the sandwiches right before we go. I like to take a thermos of hot chocolate in my bag in case they need to warm up. It is supposed to be in the mid 50's tomorrow and down to the 20's tomorrow night. I got new batteries for my camera and some new ones for my flashlight.

My Mom is coming to my house for Halloween. It's her Birthday so I'm going to make gluten free chocolate cupcakes for her. She doesn't bake so it's a real treat when someone makes something for her that she can eat.
