I Have That New Gadget Glow

I don't know what to make in it yet lol. Jon stopped and got 5 of the Arby's Jr. roast beef and 3 of the hersheys turnovers this evening. We took them to his Dads and had a snack with him. I took his Dad half of a pot of chicken soup I made yesterday so no one is hungry. I laid a piece of salmon down in the fridge to thaw so I may use that as the first thing to try it with tomorrow. Ill be sure and post how it does. I got it for $38 plus shipping.

Toaster Ovens come in real handy. I use mine all the time. Just don't try doing cornbread in one.

It made canned biscuits this morning in like 8 minutes. They came out perfect. I think Im gonna like it.

Curious about how it toasts bread. Not trying to be funny, but the last 3 toasters I bought were absolute junk. I'm at the point that if I had the money and the space to put it, I would be willing to buy one of those toasters with the conveyor belt where you put the bread in one side and it comes out the other perfectly toasted................Oh well I can dream I guess

the best toaster I've ever had - my oven broiler
I've yet to find a toaster that is worth it - last year I bought a 4-slice Black and Decker - they should stick to power tools. Not one of the bread slices comes out toasted evenly. No matter what the setting - one slice is always burned black on one side and not toasted on the other side of the slice - although the little red wires are lit. And that is just one of the slices - he others are even worse.
Until they make a decent toaster - I'll stick to my broiler - worked for gram and mom - works for me.

Rick I don't have any sliced bread in the house right now but tomorrow I plan to pick up a loaf. I will let you know how it does. All I have right now are hamburger buns and some stale crusty bread I made a few days ago I plan to toss out to the birds. Mama this little oven is a black and decker infrawave oven. I heated a little Tyson breaded white meat chicken patty in it this evening and made myself a sandwich.
It is nice to have it to throw a few biscuits in for the two of us instead of using the regular oven. I would get one of these for my father in law but the digital controls would mess with him bad.
I had checked out the reviews for this on Amazon before ordering. Some glowing reviews and some not so good.

Everyone has their opinions - so you can only tell by how it works for you and if you are satisfied with it. I purchased a few B & D appliances and I am totally turned off by B & D. But then again - I can pick the "lemon out of the whole bunch!

After a few bad experiences with Toaster Ovens I'm back to using them. I don't know if I finally got a good one are I'm getting used to their faults and spoiled to their convenience. The first one was junk. It was the one that had all burner on on the bake setting. I thought this one I'm using now did the same thing but after Janie said she made biscuits in hers I checked it out again doing chicken pieces. The only time only one burner is on is when it's set to rotisserie or broil and that would be the top burner of course. So I better not try Janies biscuits in mine.

I tried a 8x8 pan of cornbread in it yesterday. It doesnt have a preset for cornbread so I put it on the baked potato setting which was 35 minutes. After 15 minutes the bread was done but just a shade dark on the top. I was sure it couldnt be done in the middle but it was. I will make cornbread in it again and fiddle with the settings some. I think it was well worth $38.

This looks cool, Janie :)

And speaking of toasters and toast... in commercial restaurants u know what one of the most expensive kitchen items is? A damned TOASTER! One of those conveyor type toasters that toasts bread into PERFECT toast is around $3500 to $4500 new! Is that just CRAZY or what? No wonder some of the $11.00 plastic counter-top gizmos from China don't toast right! Just whacko!
