Kittens Again

Jon's Dad has 4 kittens in his garage. A stray cat must have had them since he does not have any animals and we have yet to see a Mama kitty. These little kittens are adorable and around 4 weeks old. Mama is obviously coming back to feed them. I have been taking them tuna when ever we go to Frank's. Today they we trying to chew on my fingers and play. Super cute. I have some adds out to see if I can find them a home but no bites yet. Stray cats are so common around here you just cannot give away a cat or dog these days. My father in law has a neighbor across the road who has tons of cats and I bet these kittens are from one of them because they have the siamese cat eyes like the majority of their cats do. Two of these cats are people friendly and two are feral. Isn't that odd since they are from the same litter.
I wish I could take one but it cannot happen. We live in a small apartment and I already have a dog and bunny. Not to mention I have asthma and cats are one of my worst allergy triggers. I do love playing with them though

On the bright side I won two tickets to the midnight showing of the new vampire movie "Fright Night". I was a kid in the 80's when the original came out and have always love it. I hope the remake lives up to the original. My tickets are for midnight tonight. I am hoping it will not be to crowded but it may be.

Girl, your a pushover with animals. Yeah. me to. I love them all.
Think about this little prayer " Dear Lord, please help me to be the person my dog thinks I am." CF

It is pathetic that around here there is not a decent shelter and our dog warden is a joke. Most of the time people cannot even reach him. People allow their animals to run loose and breed and then it is the poor little babies that pay the price. I heard a quote once that said you can judge a society by the way its animals are treated by Gandhi.
This county is more focused on building huge outlandish fire stations and police stations for a small town that look like they should be in the middle of a huge city. They spend a fortune on buying new cars for every one on the city police and sheriffs department. I was just reading the other day they are getting ready to buy two new loaded ambulances and the ones we already have look brand new. The city is borrowing money from the local bank to do most of these purchases and every single time you get your car registration or insurance bills they have added tons more fees and taxes to pay for their toys.

Movie was awesome. They had the sound in the theater tweaked out totally so Jon loved it. The original had always been my fav vampire movie since I was a kid in the 80's but this one was even better than the first one. Chris Sarandon played the vamp in the original and he made a cameo as a victim in this one which was very funny. I really liked scary movies with humor. They gave us 2 full size movie posters for Fright Night. I gave Jon's friend the extra poster for his son to hang in his room. I would go to the movies more often but there just is not much that comes out I want to see. Jon's pretty picky about going at all since he can't see them. I really appreciated the fact they they had a security guard watching the parking lot when we went in and when we came out. Not many cars there that time of the morning but It never hurts to be safe. I ran into the manager when I took the free posters out to the car and I thanked him personally for the free tickets.

Thank you for the review!

I don't get to the movies very often - with tickets costing $9.50 to $14.00 each - I can wait for the DVD to come out and buy it for $14.99 - $19.99 (and sometimes WalMart has a double DVD set for the same price) - make my own popcorn and save $7 there and grab a 2 liter of pop for 99 cents instead of $3. or more for their pop.

Mama the first time I went to this theater I was stunned to see their little kids movie meals were $10.45 each. I used to get my little sis and nieces those same meals a few years back and then they were around $4. A large popcorn is $6.50 and a large soda was $4.75. I always take my own drink .. a diet peach snapple in my purse but Jon got the large drink. I cannot do carbonated drinks and the lemonade there is so sour you cannot drink it. The only spring water they sell is Dasani brand which I do not like at all. The exact same boxes of candy they sell for $5 a box I can pick up at the Dollar Tree store for a buck each and take with me if I want. At least you can see them making the popcorn fresh at this theater. They recently started a $5 Tuesday thing with all the movies all day $5 each except Sony movies. I looked on Google for the upcoming movie releases and only saw a couple that sounded good. The Three Musketeers looks interesting.

Yeah .. My father in law says I'm not allowed outside if I keep finding more kittens.
One of them that is not as friendly hissed at me when I petted it but it kept eating lol. They had a can of tuna then I minced them up a hotdog. I gave them a cold bowl of milk to wash it all down. I checked on them before I left and they were all piled on each other sleeping off their meal.

That is very kind. Thanks Mama. I put my camera in my purse so I could get some pictures of the kittens in the morning when we go to Frank's. I wanna show them to you guys.

Janie finds 'em and feeds 'em and keeps 'em or finds a home for 'em - you are truly doing the Lord's work girl!

You guys are very sweet.

Today was fantastic. I was able to get homes for all 5 kittens. Happened to ask one of Jon's friends if he knew anyone who might want a kitten and he knew someone who knew someone and it all worked out. I fed them around 7 this morning and all had gone to new homes before 10 am. I owe Jon's friend a big batch of fried apple pies to say thanks. :D

I was trying to re-home them asap because my father in law is not an animal person unless it is a horse. He was doing a lot of complaining Thursday morning because the kittens were literally climbing his pants leg every time he went in the garage. He did not think it was funny when I joked they were just checking his pockets for tuna.
He had made the comment about taking them to his other son's and letting them loose with the 15+ starved and sick cats they have outside. I told him to give me at least a couple of weeks to try and find them a home and that Jon and I did not approve of the condition of their pets and that clubbing them in the head would have been more humane than taking them to my brother in laws house. All of their outside cats are sick and none are neutered or spayed. The friend that made the whole thing come together for me got his computer fixed by us for free to say thanks and he has some fried apple pies coming his way very soon. He knew a young couple who wanted 2 of them and they knew people who wanted the others so it worked out great. If they had not taken them all my sis was gonna take one in a couple of weeks.
My father in law spent some time today looking for any way cats could get into his garage so it will not happen again.

PLEASE DON'T TELL JANIE THIS - but I swear that girl would take in a baby bigfoot and nurture it and try to find it a home! Poor Jon!!!!!

lol I might. Last Sunday after I came in from the garden I told Frank I found a box of puppies someone had dropped off and he did not think it was the least bit funny.
