The last movie I saw in the theatre was "The Break-Up." I didn't hate it, but I didn't go into it expecting a laugh-a-minute kind of movie, y'know?

the last movie I saw on cable/rental was Brokeback Mountain. I didn't have trouble with the movie subject matter, but actually couldn't tell what the heck they were saying half the time (they mumbled so much! with heavy accents!) and the other half of the time, the movie was so dark I couldn't see what was going on. It seemed like a good movie, but I was a bit frustrated.

I heard The Break Up was only OK, so I decided to wait for the DVD. It's too bad, because the premise seemed like a good one.

Oh well.

I think we're going to see Superman Returns again this weekend, this time on the IMAX. I hear the airplane scene is awesome viewed that way.

Oh and someone was mentioning commercials. Am I the only one who's truly annoyed by the commercials you have to sit through before a movie in the theater these days?

No you are not the only one!! You sit in a theater (and sometimes it is not comfortable) and you have an extra 1/2 hour of previews before the movie starts. They should put them at the end of the movie - but they know that everyone will walk out.

I have noticed that some DVD's now have several previews on them. And one in particular has previews of some pretty nasty scenes! I tried to fast forward through them - and it won't work. They shouldn't be showing dirty scenes of previews on PG movies!

Failure to Launch was OK; the sum of the parts was better then the whole IMO. Not a terrific movie, but it had some classic funny moments.

I went to see The Devil Wears Prada a week or so ago, and I did like it. There were a couple of twists that were different than the book, which I liked better than the book.

I also went to see You, Me, and Dupree a couple of days ago. I'd recommend it - it was quite funny. I can't believe Kate Hudson just had a baby a year or so ago (maybe it was a big longer, can't remember). She looks terrific.
