Merry Christmas to everyone!

All of our family obligations are done for the holidays. They are forcasting a white Christmas for here. Right now all of the snow left from last week is brown and muddy. A nice fresh cover of snow for Christmas morning will be nice :) Actually it will be the first white Christmas in many years for us.

Good morning my friends and Merry Christmas

The greatest man in history is named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called him Master. Had no degree, yet they called him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called him Healer. Had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today. Jesus is the reason for the season!

I know many members here are of different religions. I wish everyone regardless of their religious preferences a joyous new year. We have a large asian population in this town and I hear them setting off their fireworks in the distance right now.

Planning menus for over a month, buying gifts and wrapping them for over a month, cooking and baking excessively for over a month - and Christmas is over. Of course - it is still the "holidays" so the baking and cooking will continue.....

Mrs W just informed me we are going back to
Cooking Light recipes.... I have a huge chunk of
rib roast left. I still haven't made my tourtiere
or lutefisk and am hungry for more pickled herring.

What to do?

Merriest ever, to all!

Being a single person, I celebrated w/ family on 2 separate nice occasions last week- then worked thru the weekend to allow co-workers w/ families to remain home. Went real well. Wonderful food, lotsa fun play, movies, music, games, talk... a few token gifts, loads of smiles and laughter and even a couple of fantastic NAPS! Does it get any better?

Wanted to share a couple of my very FAV Christmas songs w/ you all...

Christmas music is the best - and I don't know if anyone else here lives it - but I do really enjoy listening to Mannheim Steamroller! Just more Christmas favorites for me to enjoy!

Always like Steamroller too. Just catch it very seldom on the radio while driving though.

BTW Merry Christmas (now past) to everyone. Also well said Rick.
