Sean Penn played a rotund chef who was also a father to a daughter he was over-protective of. He also may have victimized her when she was younger- we never really learned fer shure.
Anyway, Daddy the chef owns a high-profile snooty restaurant in NYC that gets fantastic reviews and all kinds of press. His son-in-law... the daughter's hubby is young, pretty and also a chef building a name for himself.
But.... Daddy is an alpha male who cannot deal w/ what he perceives as the displaced loyalty of his daughter. Jealousy turns into rage.
Son-in-law comes up DEAD- not just DEAD- but MISSING, too.
Suffice it to say, in true L&O style, there's lotsa drama- including chopping blocks, Chinese cleavers, and a MEAT GRINDER!
