I saw a neat video clip tonight on Fox News that showed the interesting story of a small business owner on Cape Cod who specializes in Chicken Pot Pies. Evidently the woman made several pies and sent them to a hotel that was full of celebs who happened to be on the island attending the funeral of Eunice Kennedy Shriver. Low and behold, a while later, Oprah herself calls the woman up to share her rave reviews of the Pot Pies. The woman says she employs a staff of disabled folks, and she had applied earlier for a small business loan to expand, and start a delivery service. Something tells me one way or another, she's likely to find she will have access to the funds to get her adventurous ideas under way! What a great story! Are their businesses any of you know of that hire differently-abled folks, or have some other meaningful way they contribute on a larger than obvious scale?
