Hi
If someone could tell me if there is something I can use in place of heavy cream I would be greatful. I just don't want to get dressed to go to the store have been working in yard all day.
Thank You

or try this:

Heavy Cream (36%-40% fat)
(for use in cooking and baking)
Makes 1 cup

3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup butter or margarine

Depending on the recipe, sometimes I use canned evaporated milk to sub for cream, too. It doesn't whip, but it works well for cream soups, and heavy sauces like Alfredo and Mornay.

I use evaporated milk to and it works really well. It can whip but you have to have some power tools to get it there.

Well it's worth knowing that Creme Fraiche works just as well in most recipes, I use it all the time instead of heavy cream, especially the low fat creme fraiche. The reason for doing so is the calories are way lower & the taste is just as good. I think you'd still have to go to the store though.
Here's a link that might help:
yeo valley low fat creme fraiche

Had to type it hyperlink wouldn't work
