Well... my new friend Minot says he'd try almost any food- except...

...frog's-legs and beef tongue! So- I'm taking this as a CHALLENGE! What preparations for each do ya'll have that might make Minot change his mind?

a place here used to do panfried frog legs with pineapple salsa, quite good.

I went to a camp once where there were many cases of frog's legs. I just fried them like chicken. Same camp had cases of beef liver, but would you believe out of about 80 guys, I would guess at least 60 enjoyed liver! Didn't expect that and the first time I did it I ran out way too early.

I haven't had tongue for years, seems it was sort of pickled and sliced very thin with horseradish, not bad, but not something that I would go looking for?

i'VE ENJOYED TONGUE CHILLED- AND SLICED THINLY W/ MUSTARD- BUT i WAS HOPING SOMEONE MIGHT HAVE A FUNNER, "FANCY" TONGUE RECIPE/ oR IS THERE SUCH A THING AS "FANCY" TONGUE? hEE-hEE! (pART OF ME FEELS NASTY JUST WRITING ABOUT IT!)

I don't understand the challenge, Kevin.

One thing I've learned about food biases is to never force the issue. Probably the worst thing you can do is serve those foods secretly, then reveal after the fact what you did.

If those are the only two "I-won't-try" foods, I'd be thankful, and let the matter rest.

Be leary, lest what Minot changes his mind about is you.

Ha, good advice, Brook!

I know I proll'y shouldn't push it at all... especially since neither frog's legs nor beef tongue are foods I feel passionately about, anyway! I just have this weird thing about folks not being afraid of FOOD. Golly- it's just FOOD, for Khrissakes! Anyway- Minot's a good sport... I'm mainly doing it "to him" for a laugh...
