Wild Turkeys

Got into the garden at my father in laws and pretty much destroyed the remaining tomatoes I had
Jon's Dad has two pet turkeys whose pen is at the end of the yard just past the garden and wild turkeys are always drawn to them.
I went down this evening and got what was left. They are more than I can use before they spoil so I think Im gonna pop them in the dehydrator and make myself another quart of dried tomatoes in olive oil.
I may get a few more tomatoes from the garden as long as what ever ate these doesnt come back. We have a horrible time down there with birds eating the apples. Hundreds of perfect apples laying all over the yard with holes drilled into them. The apple trees are full of birds. Jon's Dad has been picking them up and taking them to feed to his horses.
This has been a bad year for gardens all the way around.

Our growing season has been so bad janie that the two best farmer's markets near me actually CLOSED for the season, already! Normally they're open well into pumpkin/apple season! How sad...

Oh wow closed already! That is bad.

Stupid turkeys ...I will get a particular enjoyment out of cooking my holiday bird this year
