You need to get out occasionally to get inspiration for cooking at home.

Eating out is too expensive and also if you cook at home you realise the big margins the restaurants need to keep viable, which, as I say we home cooks grudge!!
However a recommended place is a special treat now and again

Don't get me wrong a good sloppy cheeseburger from Hardees once a month hits the spot but for the most part I prefer to eat at home. Jon and I were doing a job once for 4months where we ate out all three meals everday and I got so sick of eating out. I missed my kitchen and my own cooking. I do love sushi from a chinese restaurant a few counties over from here. The sushi at the chinese restaurant here in town is horrible.

I love to be treated to a meal out once in a while. More often than not it is a disappointment! I just can not seem to get food near as good as I am used to getting at home when we eat out Oh well it saves all kinds of money. Sad but true fact: these days so many seem to be eating out more than at home, it is no longer considered to be a treat to eat out, just another meal.

I've been to a magical land called California. There they have these restaurants that look suspiciously like Hardee's, yet are called "Carl's Jr." I don't know who this Carl character is or his progeny, but they make the best burgers in the known human world. Blows Hardee's out of the water.

We eat in mostly. But we do buy rotisserie chicken at Sams. We eat it first with fresh veggies, then with a canned veggie, then the third day I boil the bones with whatever meat is left and make a chicken soup, or tortilla soup (after removing the skin, neckbone, lower back and wing tips). That to me is like eating out, only better.
The thing I like to eat out most is a really good fresh salad...like olive garden.
