Oh no - that's aweful twin mama. Can't imagine all the hard work you put into the garden...just to have it die on you while you were vacationing. I guess you should just be glad the garden wasn't larger.

No idea what happened to the tomatoes? Were they rotten or just gone or never grew or what??? Maybe those rotten rabbits got to them??

My friend has an awesome vegetable patch - she grows squash and green beans and tomatoes.

Just thought of another great thing for a garden. Rhubarb!!! Oh how I love that stuff. One of my earliest memories is of me and my kindergarten friend getting mom's salt shaker, going about 3 houses down and stealing some guys rhubarb. He always had so much we didn't think it mattered. LOL Now you know my secret! When I was 5, I was a rhubarb theif. Lock me up and throw away the key.... and... don't tell my mom. She'd be like "So THATS why I had to buy 30 salt shakers in 1983" *laughs*

But... be careful of rhubarb. I'm not sure if it's the same with all vegetables but I know that if frost hits and gets your rhubarb, it becomes toxic.
