Based on no evidence whatsoever, I always thought the Green Can was filled with the rinds run though a ball mill.
Not only is the taste and texture different, it doesn't even melt the same way. Meanwhile, I've run Regianno through everything from box graters and microplanes to food processors, and can't get it to resemble the powdery stuff (or, as Mama so aptly put it, sawdust). |
