Default deep fried pickles

There is a place near my house that has deep fired pickles .. they are great ... but they have a dipping sauce that almost seems like a cross of thousand island dressing and a Italian dressing ... I keep asking the owner of the place what is in it and he gives me the wink and saying it is his special pickle sauce and won't give it up. I have tried to replicate it with the Thousand Ilsand and Italian dressing mix but I am missing something... any hints

I would be surprised if he used some of the pickle juice in the sauce.

Depending on the "deep-fry chef" and how much the establishment deep fries foods - you can use just about anything for a dipping suace for pickles - some are creamy, apricot chutney is very popular, garlic aioli is another one -

some of these places can have a dozen different dipping sauces for various items - so it could be just about anything.

I do know that there is a spicy sauce made with raw egg, ketchup, pickle relish, onions, seasonings, horseradish, etc. that is popular with pickles.

What are deep-fried pickles. Can we make them at home?
Do we make this by frying pickled cucumbers and stuff?

We first found these little treasures at a Renaissance festival. We just coat them in bread crumbs and deep fry them until the the breading is crisp. and dip it in Ranch dip. NUMMY!
