Default Chilled Fruit in a Jar

Anybody ever try substituting fruit from a jar for fresh produce? Was thinking about using the Chilled Fruit from Del Monte in some recipes I have. Heard it works good and still tastes fine. I want to avoid the prep: cutting & peeling and save time. So busy lately!!! It's sold in the referigerated area of the produce section so it looks pretty good. Be nice to keep it on hand since it doesn't go bad for spur of the moment use. There's a coupon and recipes if you're interested here: bit.ly/qYT4q . . . Link looks kinda "funny" but if you cut and paste just like that it works.

Sure I do it all the time when fresh fruit is out of season or not available.
