I love Farmer's markets!! I haven't been to one in years though. When I was a kid, my parents were Certified Organic Growers, and sold their produce at the local farmer's market. However, I did just read in the paper last week that one is going to be started up in my town soon! I can't wait!

When I was a kid I went to live with may aunt and uncle and we lived in St. Louis, there was a market call the Soulard Market and they sold everything from live chickens to flea market items, fresh fish killed right in front of you. The vegetables were the best I have ever seen and what a selection and great price. I don't live in St. Louis anymore but I wish I could go back to that market if it still exists. We have one in the town I live in but the prices are pretty high.

The farmer's market is just 3 blocks away from me.
The only inconvenience is that if you want to get the best stuff you got to get there earlier than others and waking up early on a Saturday morning isn't particularly awesome. |
